SHORT UFO FACT: [1 September 1964 Enroute Melbourne to Canberra nr Holbrook, First Officer on Ansett flight sighted two silver objects. "ONE APPEARED APPROXIMATELY 3000 FEET ABOVE THE AIRCRAFT DEAD AHEAD, THE OTHER MUCH HIGHER AT THE ONE O-CLOCK POSITION. BOTH APPEARED SOLID SILVER OVALS, IE NO WINGS." RAAF aircraft sent to investigate UFO seen between 1300-1500hrs 5 June 1961. Pilot saw nothing unusual. Townsville Daily Bulletin copy on file of 6 June 1961 reported a cone shaped object stationary at times, other times "RAPID DASHES ACROSS THE SKY." To naked eye-dull star-through binoculars cone shaped half surface red. Seen 11.30am. Police saw it at 1255hrs till 1450hrs. Turned at times. Moved quickly at times.
