Hi, my name is (name removed) On the night of February 23, 2015, I was going to bed at approximately 11:00 p.m.
As I open my bedroom windows every night, I was doing my usual nightly routine. I opened my bedroom window, and looked up into the sky and seen approximately 5-6 bright objects flying in the sky.
They were all in a tight formation, coming from the south heading north. There was no sound at all. The appearance of the objects were large and bright, but definitely single objects.
The height of them was approximately mountain top height. I started screaming for my husband, because I was so stunned at what I was seeing.
As they passed over I ran over to my north window, and saw them as they were still on the same course, heading north.
I drew this picture to show you what I saw. My husband who was downstairs at the time never got to see anything.
It happened very quickly. Also the other thing you noticed was a bright yellow aura all around them.

Ufos In Popular Culture
The notion of contactee cults gained a new twist during the 1980s, primarily in the USA, with the publication of books by Whitley Strieber (beginning with Communion) and Jacques Vallee (Passport to Magonia). Strieber, a horror writer, felt that aliens were visiting him and were responsible for "missing time" during which he was subjected to strange experiments by "grey aliens". This newer, darker model can be seen in the subsequent wave of "alien abduction" literature, and in the background mythos of The X Files and many other TV series.
However, even in the alien abduction literature, motives of the aliens run the gamut from hostile to benevolent. For example, researcher David Jacobs believes we are undergoing a form of stealth invasion through genetic assimilation. The theme of genetic manipulation (though not necessarily an invasion) is also strongly reflected in the writings of Budd Hopkins. The late Harvard psychiatrist John Mack (1929-2004) believed that the aliens' ethical bearing was to take a role as "tough love" gurus trying to impart wisdom. James Harder says abductees predominantly report positive interactions with aliens, most of whom have benevolent intentions and express concern about human survival.
An interesting 1970s-era development was a renewal and broadening of ideas associating UFOs with supernatural or preternatural subjects such as occultism, cryptozoology, and parapsychology. Some 1950s contactee cultists had incorporated various religious and occult ideas into their beliefs about UFOs, but in the 1970s this was repeated on a considerably larger scale. Many participants in the New Age movement came to believe in alien contact, both through mediumistic channeling and through literal, physical contact. A prominent spokesperson for this trend was actress Shirley MacLaine, especially in her book and miniseries, Out On a Limb. The 1970s saw the publication of many New Age books in which ideas about UFOs and extraterrestrials figured prominently.
Another key development in 1970s UFO folklore came with the publication of Erich von D"aniken's book Chariots of the Gods. The book argued that aliens have been visiting Earth for thousands of years, which he used to explain UFO-like images from various archaeological sources as well as unsolved mysteries. Such ideas were not exactly new. For example, earlier in his career, astronomer Carl Sagan in Intelligent Life in the Universe (1966) had similarly argued that aliens could have been visiting the Earth sporadically for millions of years. "Ancient astronauts" proposals inspired numerous imitators, sequels, and fictional adaptations, including one book (Barry Downing's The Bible and Flying Saucers) which interprets miraculous aerial phenomena in the Bible as records of alien contact. Many of these interpretations posit that aliens have been guiding human evolution, an idea taken up earlier by the novel and film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
UFOs constitute a widespread international cultural phenomenon of the last half-century. Folklorist Thomas E. Bullard writes, "UFOs have invaded modern consciousness in overwhelming force, and endless streams of books, magazine articles, tabloid covers, movies, TV shows, cartoons, advertisements, greeting cards, toys, T-shirts, even alien-head salt and pepper shakers, attest to the popularity of this phenomenon." Gallup polls rank UFOs near the top of lists for subjects of widespread recognition. In 1973, a survey found that 95 percent of the public reported having heard of UFOs, whereas only 92 percent had heard of US President Gerald Ford in a 1977 poll taken just nine months after he left the White House. (Bullard, 141) A 1996 Gallup poll reported that 71 percent of the United States population believed that the government was covering up information regarding UFOs. A 2002 Roper poll for the Sci Fi channel found similar results, but with more people believing UFOs were extraterrestrial craft. In that latest poll, 56 percent thought UFOs were real craft and 48 percent that aliens had visited the Earth. Again, about 70 percent felt the government was not sharing everything it knew about UFOs or extraterrestrial life.[68]

A few years of looking into paranormal activity (usually focused on UFOs and ETs) I now personally know many of the world's foremost experts on UFO/ET activity - so I also consider myself something of an expert in the UFO arena. As a result of all this, I have come to the following conclusions in regard to extraterrestrial activity on our planet.ONE: We probably have as many as 25 or more races of ETs who regularly visit earth. Some of these life forms are so bizarre (to us) that in general we don't even begin to have the abilities to understand their reality.
TWO: Several of these races, or species, would have eliminated us all thousands of years ago if there were not another race, or force, that has prevented them from doing so.
THREE: Many visiting aliens are of interdimensional origin, are not basically physical and do not as a result travel in ships or craft.
FOUR: There is the very distinct possibility -- in fact, probability -- that we are the "property" of some alien race who long ago installed us here and "farms" us. Farms us for what, you ask? In all probability, for energy. We are a volatile, unstable unpredictable and highly emotional race. We generate, I think, massive amounts of psychic energy that is a gourmet tonic/food to somebody out there.
FIVE: Our foremost adversary may not be the nebulous "Greys," but a specie of humans who live among us. These aliens look nearly identical to us, are many thousands of years ahead of us in evolution, and probably have incredible powers of mind control and manifestation.
SIX: By the same token, our best friends also seem to be a mysterious race of humans (aka the Swedes, or Semjase and the Plejarans, among other candidates). These may be one and the same, and are just performing an assigned job.
SEVEN: We are indeed being abducted and examined by the thousands, likely by the millions, by some extraterrestrial contingency. There is overwhelming evidence for this now. My opinion is that most of this is of a decidedly positive nature or intent. I truly believe that there is a dash against time because of some event coming in our near future which somebody is trying to prepare us for.
EIGHT: most of what is being done to us or for us by ETs is of a positive nature, although it is terrifying to many individuals because of a complete lack of knowledge or understanding of ET activities here on Earth. For most mainstream Americans "off-planet alien humanoids" is a term they will allow only superficially into their reality, so they become even more gullible and exploitable as a result.
NINE: There is a spiritual force out there based on love and goodness that is all-powerful. But this is a "freewill zone," and we are basically the custodians of ourselves and our environment. If we make it into a paradise of love, abundance and harmony -- so be it. If we make it into an overpopulated, exploited and polluted hell with greed and ego as the motivating force -- so be it. We have been given the medium and all the tools we need to accomplish either result.
In my opinion, this is a time of excitement, wonder and joyous anticipation of a potentially marvelous future. I think that if we, en masse, can change our thinking and attitudes a bit, and convince one of the alien races to openly aid us, we can in a short time transform ourselves and the earth in a most desirable way. But it is going to take effort focused in the right direction.

I am hopeful for our species that we can learn to live WITH nature instead of against it. Our main priority as a wrold is to save our planet, therefore, saving our species.
We have many scarce resources on our beautiful world. Have many persons stopped to think about how scarce liquid water is in the multiverse? Now stop and think about what we are doing to that water on a global scale. It's not a pretty picture.
Look at one of our closest neighbors, Mars. The total of the water on that planet is in ice. If Mars had any liquid water then habitation and atmosphere would be possible. Without our precious water, we would not exist.
If we as a people can learn to cooperate and govern the planet as one entity instead of having NATIONAL boundaries in our minds and actions, then I think we will make it.
How can we ever hope to become members of the larger race of planets in a cooperative nature if we cannot even get along with other human beings right here on our home planet? We seem to need to have an enemy, or someone to direct our hate towards. Why can we not just dispense with the negativity and redirect our energies towards a positive solution to our many problems?
The Native Americans believe that words have power. To speak of your dreams and most secret wishes will certainly destroy them. If words have that kind of power, and through personal experience I have come to find out this is true, then we should be very careful of what we say and THINK! Many people do not realize the power of the mind. If you can think and believe a certain thing is true, then it surely will become your reality.
On other worlds thought waves are monitored and the negative disruptive thoughts are pinpointed and the individual is helped to improve his/her mental condition. If the tendency is repeatedly towards violence, the individual must undergo a retraining program or relocate themselves onto another planet. I personally think that they have come here, or some faction of their renegade band have discovered our naive little spot in the multiverse.
Well people, WAKE UP! The "enemy" is not another country, it is ourselves and our apathy and procrastination! By laziness alone, we will come undone. The time is now for vital action. What will you have to tell the generations that come after us, if indeed we are lucky enough to have generations to follow us? Will you tell them that we are a barren planet because Mommy and Daddy sat on the couch and watched TV instead of taking action to save our civilization? What will you have to say?

Monsters Of New York Mysterious Creatures In The Empire State
"Monsters of New York" by Bruce G. Hallenbeck
When people think of New York, many iconic images come to mind: the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, subways, Time Square, Broadway shows, crowds, and the general hustle and bustle of the business center of the world. But New York City is only a small part of New York State, and many might be surprised to know that we have our fair share of Bigfoot, lake monsters, alien creatures, and other weird, difficult-to-categorize phenomenon. "Monsters of New York" by Bruce G. Hallenbeck is one of the newest in a series of books by Stackpole books, detailing the monsters of each state in the Union. And as a native New Yorker, how could I not pick this one up?
Hallenbeck was co-author of "Monsters of New Jersey" with Loren Coleman, another book I reviewed. This time, he flies solo, tackling the folklore, myths, and urban legends of the Empire State. Indeed, the first chapter is about Native American folklore, the wendigo, ice giants, flying serpents, and the like, and how they may be related to current sightings of more familiar monsters.
From there, he moves on to Champ, the lake monster of Lake Champlain. I'm not too keen on lake monsters, but this chapter gives a very good account of the sightings in New York, and also details some other, lesser-known river and lake monsters in the state. Up next is Bigfoot and the Kinderhook creature, which is also a Bigfoot-type animal. Apparently there are a lot of Bigfoot sightings upstate, near Whitehall and Kinderhook, which is to be expected, but Hallenbeck even chronicles some tales of Bigfoot-like creatures out in Long Island back in the 1800s. As a New Yorker, those were interesting, even though it's hard to imagine any Bigfoot out there, even hundreds of years ago.
The Montauk monster is dealt with at length here as well, and while the stories of Plum Island and the research being done their is interesting, I don't think this "cryptid" warranted its own chapter, especially since in all likelihood, it was just a dead dog or raccoon that had badly decomposed. Aliens and other weird little creatures in the Hudson Valley? Check. There was a huge UFO flap there in the 1980s, and its summaries very well here. And what book on strange creatures in New York would be complete without alligators in the sewers? It really happened, and Hallenbeck explains all in his book.
The last chapter talks about out of place cats and even touches briefly on el chupacapras. Again, not hard to imagine big cats in upstate New York. Heck, only a few years ago we had coyotes in Central Park, so anything is possible.
THE GOOD: Bruce Hallenbeck is a native New Yorker, and his enthusiasm for the subject matter shines through in this book. He even offers up some of his own first-hand accounts experiencing some of the weirdness of New York State. For a short book (without appendices, only 104 pages long), he covers a lot of ground, including the history of the lands in New York, Native American folklore, urban legends, and more. There are two useful appendices in the book, one covering Champ sightings, and the other covering Bigfoot sightings, both in chronological order (but, I'm guessing, by no means comprehensive).
THE BAD: I mention this in a lot of my book reviews, I know, but there are no photos here. Which most of the time would be a more minor issue, but when pages and pages are based upon discussion of a photograph of Champ, it might be nice to let the reader be able to see said photograph. There were also some omissions of other creatures that I felt should have made the book, like the flying humanoid seen in Coney Island, or the baby elephant sightings in my own home neighborhood of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
THE UGLY: I'm nitpicking here, and mainly doing so because Mr. Hallenbeck has collaborated with Loren Coleman in the past (on the aforementioned "Monsters of New Jersey"), so he should know that the word "Bigfoot" is always capitalized, and the plural form for Bigfoot is Bigfoot. But throughout the book, Bigfoot is spelled "bigfoot" and pluralized as "bigfoots." It just doesn't read right to me, and took me out of the stories on more than one occasion.
THE BOTTOM LINE: A good book for anyone interested in the various myths and legends of New York State, but way too short to be comprehensive. Instead, this reads more like a primer, something to whet your appetite for more, and there are other books that cover the legends contained herein in much more detail. But if you love the other Stackpole books in this series, it's a must have. Photos, more details and more creatures would have been nice, but I did appreciate the first-hand accounts that Hallenbeck shared. For me, it's always much more interesting to read accounts like that, rather than third-hand stories that have been retold and recycled over the years. Strongly recommended.
