A 64-seater UFO is being offered for sale for 1,580,000 plus GST with its position yet to be determined in the South Island.
The first UFO prototype, "a state-of-the-art motion simulator", named Voyager I, was built by Space Dome Technologies Ltd at Albany in 2006 and was trialled at Westgate Shopping Centre primarily as a 2D test module before being moved to MOTAT at Western Springs."The Voyager I prototype continues to operate successfully and carries over 250,000 passengers per annum," says Peter Nola of Affiliated Business Consultants, who is looking for a buyer for a second Voyager II model which is based on a similar concept to aircraft flight simulators.
Nola has sold the first Voyager II craft to investors who reached an agreement with Skyline Gondola and Luge outside Rotorua to site a new ship at the top of the well-known gondola ride on Mt Ngongotaha off State Highway 5. The "ship" is expected to be on site and fully operational by Christmas this year.
"This ship will be available for demonstration in the Auckland factory in September," Nola says.
The Voyager II is an imposing and sleek "flying saucer" designed loosely to match the public's image of a UFO spacecraft. The seamless design is extremely strong and lightweight and the ship's movement is fully integrated with 3D HD (high definition) images displayed to "passengers" within it.
Nola says Space Dome is seeking to sell just one more Voyager II in New Zealand, located in the South Island, and this will complete the New Zealand installations. "The company has already commenced its marketing efforts for the export market and representatives were in Kuala Lumpur at an Amusement Device Trade Show this month. The initial export focus will be on Southeast Asia and Australia."
Voyager II is described as "an interactive four-dimensional simulator spanning 16m in diameter and featuring 3D/HD images produced at 30 frames per eye, per second".
Dennis Hyde, the founder and driving force behind Space Dome Technologies Ltd, says he is "among the believers" in UFOs which was a factor leading to his decision to design and manufacture a high-tech entertainment simulator capsule prototype that would be proven here and exported around the world.
"We keep a close eye on the competition," says Hyde, "We have not seen a simulator anywhere else in the world that is anywhere near this size or shape on a moving platform and featuring genuine 3D/HD images".
Voyager II's unique motion platform is weight balanced with high performance bearings which travel more than two metres in four directions at a maximum speed of 1.5 metres per second.
The Voyager II is designed for a 20-year commercial life and can operate four rides per hour with up to 64 adult passengers a ride. "Commercially, this is a potentially lucrative business model that will thrive in a high passenger volume site," says Hyde.
Space Dome's mission is to not only manufacture and export the Voyager II capsules but to also produce the film content featured within the ships. Gyro-stabilised camera mounts and exaggerated lens movement have been used to capture high definition aerial footage from high performance helicopters and has helped the company create impressive ride films. The degree of lens shift is synchronised to match the degree of moment in the Voyager II.
"Our ability to project high definition 3D digital content on to an 8.3 metre by 3.2 metre curved screen within a moving capsule delivers us our competitive edge," Hyde says.The Voyager II is fitted with buttons on each handle grip of the individual seats giving the passengers interactive participation during the show and each seat is equipped with safety belts and safety features.
Hyde says a key advantage of Voyager II is that the ship is built to withstand all weather conditions and can be placed outside at any site without the need for a special building.
Visitors taking the Voyager II ride experience a countdown and an apparent "liftoff", then a full range of motion and special effects, including surround-sound and air spray.
The ride ends with a realistic landing back at the departure point.

I was sitting on the front porch. I'm a sky watcher. I noticed a bright light moving south. I had no idea what it was, there weren't any navigation lights, and it was going pretty fast on a straight course. it was a round, black abject with a light in the center, and a ring of lights surounding the disc. It moved from north to south, and then it disappeared. It didn't shock me, I've seen things before.

UFO SIGHTING IN NEW YORK, NEW YORK ON JUNE 12TH 2013 - IT DIDN'T LOOK LIKE ANYTHING I'VE SEEN
The city was hectic due to two window cleaners hanging off a falling scafold on 57th Street and 8th avenue. I was walking towards Port Auth on 8th avenue and 42nd street when a couple of ambulances rushed pass me and I looked up towards the East when I saw this object hovering towards the right side of the Chrysler building. Helicopters and a plane passed by it. The more I looked at it, the more I realized I had no idea what I was looking at. I was able to take a picture and as soon as it did it vanished. I took the picture with my iphone 5, I know it's not the best picture but I was happy to take it.

Let us take a break from ghosts and have a look at one of the most celebrated UFO encounters in British ufology: The Rendlesham Forest Incident.At the time of the encounter Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk was bordered by two USAF bases, RAF Bentwaters in the north and RAF Woodbridge in the west. The main events of the incident, including the supposed "landing", took place in the forest, almost a mile (1600 m) to the east of the East Gate of RAF Woodbridge.On Boxing Day (26th December) 1980 at 3 a.m. an unidentified flying object was reported by a security patrol near the East Gate of RAF Woodbridge. Thinking it might be a downed aircraft investigators headed out into the forest to try and find out what was going on. They found no wreakage but they saw many strange lights moving through the trees, as well as a bright light from an unidentified object. Around 4 a.m. local bobbies (police to the non-Brits out there!) arrived but the only lights they could see were from Orford Ness lighthouse, some miles away on the coast.Some reports suggest a conical, metallic object was seen by the investigating servicemen hovering over the trees with pulsating lists and suspended in a yellow mist. One claimed to see triangular landing gear underneath the craft.At day break they returned to the site and found three circles in a triangular impression in the ground, trees nearby were broken and burnt. At 10 a.m. the local bobbies returned and pronounced the impressions could easily have been left by wild animals.On the morning of the 28th of December those involved returned to the area and took radiation readings, made a recording of their actions and saw a flashing light in the distance, in line with a local farmhouse. Later, starlike lights were seen in the sky to the north and south, the brightest of which seemed to beam down a stream of light from time to time.So far, so normal for a ufo encounter.However the fact that these incidents were seen by a great many people, who were members of the military and that the incidents were written in a formal report The Halt memo lend it a little more credibility than usual. Although one police officer might not agree:"There was nothing to be seen and he remains unconvinced that the occurrence was genuine. The immediate area was swept by powerful light beams from a landing beacon at RAF Bentwaters and the Orfordness lighthouse. There are many who believe that what the servicemen saw that day was extraterrestrial. There are, however, plenty of others who disagree and use the evidence of other light sources, plus the fact of reports of mist to suggest it was all a misunderstanding.Personally I don't know what to think. It's certainly an interesting case but rather middle of the road. It might have been something unusual. It might have been mist and light from the lighthouse combining to put on a spectacular show. A good friend of mine and I went for a Hot Chocolate together today. We frequent a small Sweet Shop in the Harbor Town near by and often stop in for the best Hot Chocolate around. This friend of mine is a life long pal. We have known each other since the second grade. This friend knows me well and knew I was a bit stressed. We sat and talked awhile when my friend looked over her cup at me and said, " So what's eating at you?"
Knowing it would be fruitless to try to brush off my pal's question I sat back and answered her with one word. "People".
My friend laughed at me rolled her eyes and added, "So what else is new?" We chuckled and I started to explain to my friend the down side of my decisions to come out of my own writers closet of safe subjects and accepted articles and plunge head first into the world of the Paranormal. I knew it would be difficult. I knew it would frighten some and others would ridicule me. I knew I would be forced to protect people at the cost of my own peril. I knew all of this and thought I was prepared to finally come forward and tell the experiences I personally endured -along with the countless encounters others have shared with me.
I was not however prepared at the nasty reactions of those who have known me privately or the mean spirited nature pointed at my stepping out of the dark and into the light about things most just do not understand.
The holidays just ended. It was extremely busy this year and I was placed party after party with those I have not seen in awhile. I saw relatives and friends alike. It was a good time as I was able to visit with them all as well as a difficult one.
I discovered right away that my deciding to focus on being a full time Paranormal writer was something that hit some type of discord with all who knew me. I heard one off handed remark after the other, I was insulted and I was finding myself in one uncomfortable situation after the other. I had people I knew all my life say terrible things to me. I found a few hostile and extremely nasty- all due to the fact I was writing about things like UFO's, Aliens and the unknown. I backed out of invitations after a few days and felt sad that so many were, well frankly, so ignorant.
I wonder how and when did so many become so close-minded and limited? I wondered how these people thought they were ever going to evolve if they turned hostile and ugly when ever subjects they had no knowledge or limited information about were brought up?
Is this the way we made our way out of the cave and into the condo? It was really astounding to listen and watch those I know turn on me over my choice to investigate, write about and bring to light subjects simply because they were uncomfortable with them. What is that about? What is this sheep like behavior of hating things unknown that seems to penetrate society? Are people truly this stunted and dumb?
I will admit that other issues may have been at play here. I love what I do. I plan to continue what I am doing until I can reach all I can. I refuse to run with packs
of fools who become nasty and mean spirited over things they do not understand or WANT to understand. I know I am determined and hard working and that may be a problem for those who aren't. I also realize I make people uncomfortable suggesting their safe little known worlds may not be as safe or known as they wish them to be. I guess they feel if they kill the messenger the message will die too!
I am not sure what or why I was faced with such a unpleasant reaction to my decided path. I only know it was a real awakening and no matter what, I must continue doing what I am doing. If I am writing things that make this much impact on those who know me, I know I am hitting a nerve in society. I realize I should not, can not, stop even if I wanted to.
I told all of this to my pal. She sat and listened and when I had talked myself out she looked at me and said. " That was good, go home and write it and let them know you know they are in the way". "In the way?" I questioned her remark. "Come on, you know they are just frightened to death you may be onto stuff they don't want to face and really mad you may be a success getting it out there." I had to laugh at my friend as she never missed a sip of her Hot Chocolate or a bite of her brownie. She looked up as she took a break from chewing and said, " Your not going to let a bunch of dumb bells stop you are you? You didn't think they were going to make it easy or be happy for you did you?"
I just shook my head. No I was not going to let anyone stop me. I just didn't think the fear of these subjects would create such extreme reactions from the people I knew. The funny thing is that the friends who I thought would question me the most turned out to be the ones who support me the most. I have a great deal of friends who work in science. I thought they would question me and find my choice to write full time about the paranormal something they would reject. The complete opposite has happened and they have become not only my support group but many have been those who have supplied me with experiences of their own.
The moral of this article is the realization of how deeply brainwashed we have become to dismiss, ignore, reject and attack the very things we should want to know. I do not know what has happened to mankind. I do know they seem to have slammed down the lid on thinking and replaced it with a do as they are told dull wit that has them closed minded, blind and in many cases just plain boring.
I have decided to pick up speed with my writing about the paranormal. I hope you will all increase your desire to learn about things that to date remains unknown. There is more going on here that meets the eye. What has caused this extreme reaction to all things paranormal? Why are so many so angry and dumbed down? Curious minds want to know. (3/21/2007) - While browsing the web today I stumbled across Paraex, a ghost investigation team in Central Ohio. The Field Investigator candidate requirements reminded me of why I founded NKYPYG:
To qualify, all candidates:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
NKYPYG was born after I located the closest ghost investigation group to Covington, KY - a group located in Xenia, OH (which doesn't appear to be around anymore, btw) - and their investigator requirements required you to be at least 18. Shortly after that I took the MUFON Field Investigator Test and learned that although I could turn it in, they would hold it until I was 18. I was classified as an "Associate Member" and I could be nothing more since I was under 18.
Of the few things bridging the gap between UFO and ghost organizations, this annoying restriction appears to be one of them. For legal purposes, it's perfectly understandable that a non-profit would not want field investigators - who could get injured - to be under the age of 18. However, in the field of the paranormal - a field looked down upon by many mainstream scientists - there are many reasons why we should be including youth in our investigations.
First and foremost, the youth are our future. You hear this touted in many places and fields, but it is of the utmost importance in Ufology. There have been essays by the "old guard" (see Friedman's "Perceptions" column in the June 2003 MUFON UFO Journal, to which I have previously written a response to) where they acknowledge the need to get youth more involved, to take the place of past Ufologists who are passing away more and more each decade (see UFO group membership numbers, 1960's vs. 1990's). But their recommendations on how to get the youth involved in these organizations is simply too out of touch with today's generation. Example in point: Friedman's article suggested that youth could get involved in MUFON by going to their local libraries and searching through newspaper microfilm for past UFO reports. Trust me, while this is an important step in investigating historical UFO sightings, you're not going to get the youth to care about UFO's this way. Simply put, top UFO organizations will die out (as they have been doing for years) if they do not appeal to generation after generation.
Today's youth are hands-on. While there are still a select few who benefit from lectures, the vast majority prefer getting out there and doing what they're learning. This presents a unique opportunity to paranormal groups because today's field technology is substantially cheaper than it was in previous years. For under 100, a team of three could easily be outfitted with enough equipment to perform a good, standard preliminary investigation of a site and report back to headquarters about whether or not the site warrants further investigation. In Ufology, the same could be said about interviewing witnesses rather than investigating a site. When it comes down to it, there simply aren't enough good investigators out there. See last month's MUFON CMS Ranking Report, for example, in which 16 states weren't even able to assign cases to investigators - two of those states being Ohio and Kentucky - simply because there aren't enough available investigators to tackle them. It is ridiculous that MUFON would deny the under 18 crowd (the upper age bracket of which can drive cars, btw) the right to investigate these cases simply because of their age.
In other scientific fields youth are encouraged to participate, not only in lectures and classrooms but by getting in the laboratory and conducting experiments. Even in the field of parapsychology, I was able to carry out a round of d'ej`a vu experiments being put on by Cornell University while in a psychology class my junior year of high school. There are also summer camps as early as elementary and middle school where participants get to use the same equipment as professionals in locations where they might also get injured (I can recall my Astronomy class during Duke TIP at KU traveling with telescopes to a private field outside of Lawrence, KS and spending much of the night there: a scenario similar to any UFO field investigation). It appears that "real scientists" have solved the problem of how to let minors get involved: it's called a waiver. We used to use these for my NKYPYG group. You simply have the students' parent or guardian sign that it's ok for their son or daughter to participate in your organization, including field work. Add some legal "fine print" that prevents them from suing your organization and you're free to allow the students to participate.
So now that the legal barriers are aside, what else could youth offer to a paranormal investigation? Seeing as how much EVP research involves audio at strange frequencies, youth could be helpful in identifying the source of a noise that appears to only play back on audio tape to adults. It is simple science that the younger you are, the greater your range of audible frequencies. Just think about the new "mosquito" ring tones and The Mosquito, a device that attempts to keep youth from loitering in a location by playing an annoying sound at a frequency that only they can hear. In addition to better hearing, youth also tend to have better eyesight, which can be very helpful if an anomaly manifests at a distance during an investigation.
The greatest asset that youth have to offer such investigations are fewer investigator biases. As paranormal investigators age, they carry with them beliefs and values that can affect their research. Youth are still forming these beliefs and values which make it less likely that they will apply them to their research. As I was quoted as saying in a recent newspaper article, "Young people can see things with new eyes... They can keep an open mind to things that adults may explain away."
Ultimately, it will be the youth who carry on your organization. With popular shows like Sci-Fi's "Ghost Hunters" capturing youth's attention and teaching them incorrect investigation methods and techniques (which could be as much Sci-Fi's fault as TAPS's), it will be up to paranormal organizations to re-train them at the age of 18 or 21, and we all know that it's easier to learn the right way the first time than it is to change your way of thinking later on in life. Why not properly train youth as soon as they are interested in being a field investigator, and why not tap that already readily available resource to increase your case assignment and completion ratios? Even if your group only allows youth to investigate a case under the direction of an adult field investigator, that's a step in the right direction for the paranormal field. To be respected by "established" scientists, our best bet is to let tomorrow's scientists know just how professional our investigative standards are.

At what time the first sighting we stirred to a clearer area which certified us to exist a superior expanse of sky; the city wherever we witnessed this from has a very high height, it is in fact approaching at the top of a block and the sky was ludicrously clear, no clouds. We subsequently saw what we copy to be an aeroplane re us amid a flight method approaching honest over our heads.
