Much brighter/larger than a plane. Only one color light.(orange/yellow). No sound at all. Smoking a cig outside and it came down due east of my location. Flight path was like a meteor but without any tail, sparks or change in brightness. Soft glow on outer edge (small). Glow area width estimated at +/- 20% of central objects diameter. Same color but softer. Clear skies, no clouds. Because the actual distance would be almost impossible to tell from a single observation point, it could have been much further away and larger than it appeared to be. Object did not pull up and appeared to impact but was obscured by a house prior to impact. Absolutely straight flight path at a very sharp angle. No plane could have pulled out of dive at that angle and speed. Estimated speed +/- 8K TO 10K MPH.
