There are some very good scary videos out there, like this one that most people have probably seen of the Ghostly Hitchhiker. I always avoided watching it because it was so long, each time I attempted to watch it I would cancel it but I watched it the whole way through today and it is very creepy.

Most videos that I watch on the net with a paranormal theme seem to end up like the two above, either artificial or very well made with a good amount of suspense and a descent story to tell. Very few videos seem to be genuine but I'm still gonna try and find the best out there.

BRIAN CLEGG. EXTRA SENSORY: THE SCIENCE AND PSEUDOSCIENCE OF TELEPATHY AND OTHER POWERS OF THE MIND. ST MARTINS PRESS, 2013.
It probably takes some guts for an established science writer to write a book about ESP and the like, and not to immediately write the whole thing off without a moment's thought. Perhaps being an outsider to the academic establishment Clegg is freer in such regard. Clegg provides a critical but not unsympathetic account of the subject. His interest seems to have been stimulated by a teenage incident in which he felt he was in telepathic contact with a friend, and, I suspect, a more cautious approach developed when he had an extraordinary non-precognitive experience, awaking one morning with the absolute certain 'knowledge' that the plane he was going to fly on that day was going to crash. So powerful was this feeling that he persuaded his sympathetic boss to allow him to change flights. The plane did not crash, and nothing bad happened at all. Of course, if the plane had crashed, that would have been excellent evidence for precognition, or would it have just been a coincidence. Clegg points out that feelings like this which don't pan out get forgotten, where those when some coincidence takes place become highly memorable. He begins his exploration of telepathy by examining the possible theories advanced for it, or at least some of them. His main interest, as a (ex)physicist is Brian Josephson's linking telepathy with quantum entanglement, an idea towards which Clegg is not wholly unsympathetic, though this is a controversial idea even among paranormalists with a physics background. There are two reasons for that, one is that it is considered axiomatic that quantum entanglement cannot be used to break special relativity by sending messages, and by the feeling that the brain is a far too complex and messy environment for quantum effects to play much role. He is far more sceptical of other theories, involving electromagnetism or an, as yet unknown, new force. He also points out that dualistic views also have overwhelming problems. Clegg argues that the main problem that scientists face in the field of parapsychology is that of cheating, and that this is especially the case in things like mediumship. I note that he came to the same conclusions as me over the Scole Affair, (he didn't read my review, I checked the references!), pointing out how every attempt to introduce controls led to one evasion and excuse after another. He examines in general some of the evidence for telepathy, precognition and psychokinesis, and points out some of the pitfalls in experiments such as those using the ganzfield, and also looks at the some of the work of Daryl Bem. He argues that in almost all of these studies, it is not clear that what is being studied is what the ordinary person would think of as telepathy etc, it is just statistical anomalies, which might suggest there is something there, but gives no clue as to what it is. He further notes that if PK is a real effect, affecting a moving dice would be a much more difficult feat than moving a very light static target. He takes a detailed look at the original experiments of J. B. Rhine the work of the remote viewers and the tricks of Uri Geller, showing how they each had multiple methodological flaws. Parapsychologists might correctly point out that this really is a selection of weak cases, sceptics might reply that are cases that easily show up the methodological errors that occur more subtly in other cases. I would like to have seen some discussion of the complex debates between Charles Honorton and Ray Hyman here, though I understand that they be just too recondite for a popular readership. Clegg also examines the work of Dean Radin and PEAR (Princton Engineering Anomalies research) and I get the feeling that he really doesn't understand what is being claimed here. Join the club! Clegg is surely right when he argues that the endless debates about statistical anomalies will never get anywhere, what is needed are clear decisive experiments, which replicate real life more. Here's a couple of examples of mine, for telepathy use identical twins in separate buildings, experiments performed by students who not told what the experiment is for, and monitor the brain activity of each. One twin is shown a series of slides of scenes ranging from the positive to the negative, from the arousing to the soporific etc. Experiments like these could be tweaked in a variety of ways. For psychokinesis, try moving a microgram weight in a completely environmentally controlled container (or given the claims that are made for RSPK) transmitting a microgram weight through a micrometre thick partition from one hermetically sealed container to another. To test what lies behind the statistical anomalies use computers doing millions of runs and not people. Clegg suggests that parapsychologists do not look for final definitive experiments, because just going from one vaguely suggestive result to another is a way of keeping the subject going and maintaining their positions. ["Much like ufologists, then - Ed".] Perhaps they suspect that the answer to such a definitive experiment would be negative, and indeed sceptics can point out that there have been any number of real world experiments with negative outcomes, not one case of a completely unambiguous prediction of a truly unexpected event made before the event, no football referee spontaneously combusted. My concern is that the results from examination of a single gene from only two hair samples, of potentially questionable origin, would be taken as the final resolution of the yeti question, which is a complex phenomenon. Dr. Syke's findings are interesting, and reinforce the role of bears in the phenomenon, but they do not conclusively answer the question of whether there is an unrecognized ape species in the Hamalayas. From my field of expertise -- footprints -- the best evidence for an unrecognized ape species comes from the McNeeley-Cronin biological survey of the Arun Valley. An exceptionally fresh and clear trackway of a bipedal ape was observed and documented. (see attachment depicting my reconstruction of the foot based on the track photos and plaster cast, which was seized at the border). It suggests an arboreal ape with a divergent big toe that clearly inhabits the high forested valleys and occasionally crosses the intervening passes leaving tracks in the snow.
The "yeti" has only to do with sasquatch in that it may be another relict species of primate, as yet unrecognized by science. Descriptions of sasquatch and their footprints are quite distinct.

CROP CIRCLES dating back to the Second World War are "proof the phenomenon is no modern hoax", according to a story published by "The Huffington Post".
Research by an Australian archaeologist, using images from GOOGLE EARTH'S new 1945 overlay, has found evidence of circles in English fields long before the recent craze linking them with aliens and UFOs.
The photographs were taken towards the end of WW2 by the RAF. But I have discovered that earlier in the war similar circles and other suspicious ground marks were the subject of a secret investigation by agents working for the British security service, MI5.

GREG JEFFERYS, who is about to embark on a PhD at the University of Tasmania, says his discovery, combined with evidence from written records, "gives the lie to the claims made by various [people] to be the originators and creators of all crop circles."
But does it?
Unusual markings in crops - including simple swirled circles - turn up in written records dating back as far as the 17th century. Indeed it was a well-known account of circles that appeared following a gale near Guildford, published by the journal "Nature" in 1880, that prompted Jeffery's research in the first place.
But none of the simple circles referred to in these accounts, or the ones identified in the WW2 aerial photographs, resemble the elaborate formations and pictograms that have become characteristic of the modern circles phenomenon.
As the Circlemakers and other circle-making groups have demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt, it is not necessary to invoke extra-terrestrials or spiritual forces to explain these phenomena. Human beings are quite capable of producing striking and beautiful landscape art.
The urge to attribute crop circles to mysterious or supernatural forces is nothing new and is found in the eye of the beholder. The appearance of strange markings in fields in wartime England was naturally regarded at that time as possible evidence of enemy rather than alien activity, as the former Top Secret file assembled by the British Security Service MI5 proves.
The illustrated dossier, held by THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES at Kew, contains details of covert investigations into activities by "suspected fifth column activities" during the invasion scare of 1940-41.
After the fall of France to the Nazis, rumours spread about the activities of German spies who were said to be active in the British countryside preparing for the invasion ordered by Hitler (OPERATION SEALION). Many people, including some MI5 officers, felt this was a real possibility as it was common knowledge that fifth columnists had played an important role in the invasions of France and Belgium.
Signal lights and ground markings had been used on the continent to guide Axis bombers and parachutists to their targets. So MI5 feared "such ground markings might be the cutting of cornfields into guiding marks for [German] aircraft" via coded messages that could only be seen from the air. They asked RAF and Royal Navy pilots to report sightings of any unusual ground markings for investigation.
In May 1941 one such "unusual mark", 33 yards long in the form of the letter "G" was spotted by the RAF in a field of growing corn in South Wales [see photograph from MI5 file, below]. From the air it appeared the tail of the marking pointed towards the Royal Ordnance Factory at Glascoed and MI5 were called in to investigate.

When questioned the farmer, "a man of good character", explained the marking was created by surplus barley that he had sown transversely across a field of growing corn in April, so that he could return a drilling machine to its owner. The MI5 report ended: "He agreed to plough up this part of the field [and] as a satisfactory solution had been reached, the case was carried no further."
In October 1943 a RAF aircraft spotted a circle in a field near Staplehurst in Kent, with the word 'Marden' incribed within it. MI5 agents discovered the field had been used before the war as an emergency landing ground for Imperial Airways.
All the cases investigated by MI5 during WW2 had innocent explanations. In one case a circular white swirl in a growing crops, photographed from the air, was found to be caused by sacks of manure laid out in the field! I suspect that many of the simple circles and other ground markings (including one in the form of a triangle) identified in the GOOGLE EARTH sample could be ploughed out archaeological features, such as prehistoric round barrows.
Nevertheless, there is no doubt that unusual swirled circles have appeared in fields of crops across southern England for centuries. But until the last two decades of the 20th century no one seriously suggested they could be the work of aliens.
Before that time farmers, on whose land they appeared tended to attribute them to natural causes such as whirlwinds or trampling by animals. Naturally, the sudden and uncanny appearance of swirled rings overnight in the middle of virgin crops led some to attribute them to supernatural forces.

A very helpful early member of UFOIC has assisted me in gaining a better understanding of some of the highlights of the group's past.One episode was the controversial visit to Australia in 1959 of notorious American contactee George Adamski. The member provided me with a revealing diary entry which records that Dr. Greenwell resigned from the UFOIC presidency on the same day as the George Adamski public meeting at Adyar Hall Sydney on Friday 27 February 1959, apparently "because of all (the) trouble". It also indicated that there was much trouble with the arrival of June Marsden who "hosted" George Adamski's visit to Sydney. The diary records that Adamski and Marsden "were fighting like mad".What was that all about? The following information explains what happened. The diary entry led me to re-examine the UFOIC UFO Bulletins and other sources to clarify this provocative entry. This confirmed I was incorrect on my understanding that Miran Lindtner became UFOIC president in December 1958. Dr. Greenwell's resignation was announced in the April 1959 issue "for personal reasons." Miran Lindtner became president in late February 1959. June Marsden was "profiled" in the Jan 1959 issue of the UFOIC UFO Bulletin. Unstated in the piece was that June Marsden held the position that astrology had a signicant connection with UFOs. June was by 1959 a noted socialite, her real name Mrs. Erica Ingram-Moore, and she was also a prolific writer, particularly in the field of astrology. Her book "Follow Your Stars to success" was published in the US in 1956. It was originally published in Sydney in November 1936. June Marsden was featured in a Daily Mirror article Feb 19 1959 which described her odd ideas about astrology and flying saucers. I also have a letter dated Nov 13 1957 from Adamski to June Marsden which was pretty cordial. She had visited Adamski in California and this no doubt led to her being his hostess when he came to Sydney. Stan Seers gives an unflattering picture of the Sydney Adamski tour in his book "UFOs - the case for scientific Myopia" (1983). Stan was the Queensland Flying Saucer Bureau president at the time of the Adamski visit and he was in Sydney during the period. He makes some unflattering comments about "a well known Sydney socialite". Adamski himself in his book "Flying Saucers Farewell" (aka "Behind the FS mystery") refers to his hostess "an astrologer. She was endeavouring to associate astrology with the space people and their craft. I explained to her that no connection existed between the two, but she refused to accept the logical facts. Like many people, she had closed her mind to any ideas which differed from her preconceived notions." Adamski's book also describes problems in Sydney such as no "work permit" or the lack of UFOIC sponsoring, and an alleged run-in with "the censor's office" about the "saucer" films he was showing. I gather UFOIC was touchy about the issue of sponsoring Adamski, wanting to distance themselves. It seems that these issues came to a head at the Adyar Hall and Metropole meetings of 27 Feb 1959.It seems clear that UFOIC was struggling to ensure it was seen as a credible organisation. Adamski's visit to Sydney in 1959, and the lightning rod it provided for all manner of bizarre takes on the flying saucer controversy, was putting all those efforts at risk. Dr. Greenwell's resignation from the UFOIC presidency was one apparent result. UFO SIGHTING IN IDAHO ON OCTOBER 27TH 2013 - NOTICED STAR LIKE OBJECT IN EASTERN SKY AROUND 11PM AND IT'S MOVING SLOWLY NORTH FASTER THAN OTHER STARS
Went out to smoke about an hour ago and noticed star like object in sky slightly above eastern horizon and noticed it was brighter than other stars. Went back out an hour later and it has dramatically moved much high than before. Looked at object through binoculars and it is a very bright star looking type object that is much closer than a star but hard to make out with binoculars. It is still in eastern sky as I am reporting this. Would not be reporting if I didn't find it an interesting object that is not usually in the sky.

First saw it it it just had three lights it got closer i rolled downed the windows heard nothing then the whole thing lighted up I've never seen a plane like that the front part was like a triangle and the back with the middle connected to it like a pipe then the lights was so clear i can almost see through it ghetto the front of it turn on its lights like a car or a flash lights you can see the beams were red in the area of the lights the night sky was so clear the lights only lasted a few minutes then it turn off the took off no noise then i saw on the other side of me about i counted like around 30 40 planes in a distance i ve never seen that many planes all at once this was on highway 16 going towards san Antonio north of poteet

Shape of objects: Ellipsoid.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was standing on the back deck of my house with my parents and roommates at around 7pm on 11 June 2008. Looking north, we were able to see a single object in the sky. It was dark in colour (it was still light outside) and appeared to be off in the distance. It was moving rather rapidly in an odd manner (loops, circles, lines, abrupt changes of direction, etc.), like no bird or airplane I have ever seen. Due to the distance at which we observed it, I find it unlikely that it was a kite or model airplane. I ran inside to grab binoculars or a camera to obtain a closer look or film the object, however I could locate neither and by the time I went back outside the object had disappeared. Naturally I consider it to be a UFO as I have not been able to identify it based on any common aerial object I can think of, whether it was of extraterrestrial origin or not is a whole other matter. I am interested to know if anyone else in the London, Ontario area witnessed something similar on or around the date of 11 June 2008.
