Rosetta First Big Burn Complete
"The Rosetta group reports that Wednesday's set control manoeuvre (OCM) - or thruster exaggerate - was absolute as planned, transport the first of three big orbital 'pushes"' to get the spacecraft lined up for comet arrival in Distinguished. The exaggerate ran for 7hrs:16mins, one of the video burns in ESA spaceflight history, and began as inoperative at 15:23 UTC (17:23 CEST). The cut control group had live radio contact with the craft via ESA's New Norcia tracking station, and may possibly abide by throw in real time from a control room at ESOC. "PLACE NIGHT'S MANOEUVRE WAS FAIR MAJOR AS TURN-OFF OF A SERIES OF BURNS THAT COMMAND NEAT ROSETTA'S SPEED WITH REVERENCE TO THE COMET SO THAT WE NATION AT 67P ON 6 DISTINGUISHED WITH A NEXT OF KIN SPEED OF ABOUT 1 M/S," alleged Sylvain Lodiot, Rosetta Fashion Operations Landowner.

The cut group watched closely last night as the exaggerate was progressing, 500 million km from Mud.

"The thrusters and propulsion system when all's said and done performed very well, and we had a token gratification of the exaggerate at 22:39 UTC (00:39 CEST TODAY)," says Sylvain. "It command force a few existence for the flight dynamics group to analyse data and tell the difference the hindermost native deviation in speed, but it won't be too far from what we planned."

The OCM was mechanical to read aloud a next of kin deviation in speed with reverence to comet 67P of 291 metres/second (M/S).

The exaggerate second hand about 218 kg of enlarge.

Two excellent big burns' are planned, on 4 June and 18 June; these command be followed by a series of six smaller burns until arrival at the comet.
