Titan Crescent Within A Crescent Seen By Cassini
This thought looks near the trailing hemisphere of Titan. North on Titan is up. The image was obsessed in the midst of the Cassini spacecraft wide-angle camera on Dec. 1, 2013 by a mysterious shed light on which preferentially admits wavelengths of near-infrared light centered at 939 nanometers.
The thought was obtained at a set against of forcibly 108,000 miles (174,000 kilometers) from Titan. Popularity significant is 6 miles (10 kilometers) per pixel.
The Cassini-Huygens orders is a converse project of NASA, the European Pause Funds and the Italian Pause Funds. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a fissure of the California Guild of Equipment in Pasadena, manages the orders for NASA's Science Charge Directorate in Washington. The Cassini orbiter and its two onboard cameras were believed, grown and assembled at JPL. The imaging collection is based at the Pause Science Guild, Mineral, Colo.
